You are puking in the bushes while your patient friend uses his smart phone to record every minute of it. Oh gawd you think, will this wind up on Facebook?
Halfway home you keep asking the driver to stop so that you can visit the men's room. After you are done with the stomach flu you vow, you will kill your friend who all but followed you into the stall to, God help us, capture the moment for posterity.
When the next wave of nausea hits you grin a wicked little grin and turn in the direction of the photographic fiend and he bounds from the car. You bound after him but you are brought up short as you have some business to take care of by the side of the road.
Your friend returns and shoves something fizzy in your mouth and holds your nose. You swallow. You turn toward your torturer thinking: Here it comes.
But nothing happens. In fact, you are feeling better than you have felt in hours. "What was that," you ask your crazy friend. He shows you the app he was using on his smart phone. It's called "tricorder." It turns out your friend was bravely, and maybe even stupidly taking samples of the your sick, and analyzing it with his phone. Then he ran another app called "Tea. Earl Grey. Hot." It's a replicator app. It generates cures for diseases that the tricorder analyzes. If it finds a cure it sends the information to a pharmacy. You buy your cure and you are healed!!!

An army of doctors armed only with cell phones charges into a hot zone full of Ebola, sleeping sickness, tuberculosis and Lord only knows what else. With their tricorder apps and Tea Earl Grey apps they snap up and analyze every bit of nasty sick they come across. Hours later an air drop sends the cures. The doctors vaccinate themselves first, then they work on the populace.
